From a young age I have always been fascinated by the function and performance human body and since then I have always practiced methods on how to make the human body stronger, faster, leaner, build more muscle mass and build endurance. This led me in the participation of martial arts like the art of boxing, kickboxing (both at competitive level), judo and karate, running, football, basketball and volleyball. I also used weightlifting and bodyweight exercise to improve my performance in the sports I participated in.

I have dedicated my life to finding, studying and applying what really works effectively in the fields of health, strength, conditioning and performance.

I have been in a gym environment for most of my life and I have many years of personal experience and experience in helping people achieve their health, physique, fitness, body composition and performance goals.

I have been fortunate to study nutrition from some of the best Doctors, nutritionists and naturopaths of today and to the value of my clients I remain a student of nutrition to keep up to date with scientific breakthroughs and assist my clients with their health and fitness goals whatever they may be.

I have had the honour to intern and work with some great strength and conditioning coaches around the world like Zach Even-Esh and Mike Mahler whom have inspired my training techniques and methods which I continue to utilise and develop with my fellow clients.

I have worked with many athletes at world championship level and have helped them increase their strength and performance in their sport, I have worked with professional boxers, footballers, strongman, mixed martial artists, golfers, tri athletes, sprinters, rock climbers, netball teams and many more.

I have a wide range of experience in coaching from professional athletes, to pregnant mums, to teaching and coaching kids. To this day I have dedicated my life in promoting and inspiring optimal health and fitness.

Keith Knight graduated in Sports Therapy and Remedial Medical Massage. He holds a diploma in Asyra Health Screening Testing Facility.

Keith, a former School P.E. teacher, developed an interest in Complementary Medicine after discovering the benefits of integrating both conventional and complementary medicine to achieve a complete holistic healing process.

He tests the clients at Soma fitness for various food intolerances, allergies, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and hormonal imbalances etc. This gives you the effective nutritional solutions to your biochemical make up and therefore guaranteeing you will reach your health and body composition goals.

I have always been interested in sports and fitness and have played a variety of sports from being a small child. This talent, passion and desire in sports and fitness has led to many great honours including playing Football at a professional standard in the U.S.A. I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career in this industry whether it was playing sport professionally, teaching or training others. After suffering a career ending injury, I have tried sports coaching, fitness instructing and fitness management, but found my true passion in personal training.

I have worked in the sports and fitness industry since 2003 and have developed a great passion for training people and helping them to achieve their goals. From a personal trainer's point of view, there is no better feeling than watching someone transform themselves and successfully achieve what they set out to achieve. As a personal trainer I give my clients all help and support that they deserve, monitoring their progression carefully, so that each and every session is safe and effective. I also try to make it as enjoyable as I can, varying each and every session, but continuing to provide an effective workout.

I have worked with a wide variety of people, ranging from inexperienced clients to elite athletes and have helped clients achieve a wide range of goals. Since joining the team at Soma, I have personally developed as a personal trainer; learning new types and methods of training, and developing my own nutritional knowledge. Soma enable me to train clients on a one to one basis, in a personal and friendly environment, using the top of the range equipment.

It won't happen overnight, but with the right attitude, hard work and a good diet, I believe that I can help anyone work towards achieving their goals. Owing to the passion I have for fitness and for helping people achieve their goals and tackle any possible hurdles they may encounter, as a personal trainer and sports injury specialist I qualify to help those who want to increase their fitness, lose weight and in general want to lead a healthy lifestyle as well as treat any kinds of musculoskeletal injuries. I have acquired qualification at degree level at Salford university as BSc(hons) in Sports Rehabilitation and Sports Massage and I am currently a member of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers.

By having great experience working with Manchester City ladies and Stockport County F.C you will be able to get training at high sports level, depending on your needs and the type of athlete you want to be as I have trained and treated top level athletes in various sports such as football at Manchester City, handball at Manchester handball club, as well as rugby, at Salford Reds.

I am a personal trainer and osteomyologist, I specialise in sports injury and rehab. And I am a qualified advanced massage and manipulative therapist. I have experience in working with all ages and abilities from overweight and underactive people to athletes. I specialise in core strength and stability, posture correction and functional muscular training. I also work on cardiovascular development/endurance training, boxing and strength training. I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and during my years I have gained the knowledge and experience to train individuals from all walks of life, from lifestyle coaching to nutritional planning. I love working with people and helping them with their health, fitness and also helping people recover from injuries this is a great passion of mine.
