Sports Rehabilitation and injury prevention

Our sports rehabilitation therapist uses a multi-disciplinary approach to treat injuries sustained through sports participation or everyday life so the individual can regain normal pain-free mobility. Our therapist is a highly trained professional therapist who has worked with many professional individuals. The primary goal is to return to pre-injury activities, whether the individual is a professional or amateur.

The most common injuries treated by the sports our rehabilitation team is sprains, strains and chronic injuries. Other conditions that can be treated through a sports rehabilitation program are fractures, arthritis issues, joint replacements and generalized pain issues.

Strength and Conditioning

Functional strength and conditioning techniques learned from exercise experts from the United States and around the world are used improving all functions and performance of the human body. Sessions will involve corrective exercises to correct any muscle imbalances, posture or any other problems that are found during the comprehensive assessment. We also move into more performance based functional athletic training that may involve anything from Plyometrics, Speed & Agility, Olympic lifts & Power Training through to Kettlebells, Clubbells, Dumbells, Strongman training Metabolic Training, Boxing drills, and body weight training.

Sports Specific Training (one on one and group training available)

We also can improve performance enhancement through sport specific functional training that we have used with athletes on all levels including both Olympic and Professional athletes ranging from a wide range of sports.

Weight loss

Boxing Lessons(one on one and group training available)

We run one on one boxing lessons, group boxing lessons and classes. We teach you all the basic fundamental techniques, all the punches, defence work, foot work and combine drills and bag work also. Our boxing experience comes from 15 years of ongoing experience in the art. We can use the boxing also as a fitness program and a de stressor. There have been many studies and research to show that people how have used boxing as there fitness program have been successful in significantly reducing stress.

Pre and post pregnancy exercise

We use our years of experience training females to get fit for giving birth and with use of functional core exercises, breathing exercises, resistance, cardio, and optimal positioning techniques to provide you with all the strength and confidence you require for the birth of your child. We have found that all of the mothers who trained through pregnancy found it very easy getting to there body composition goals after the birth.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is useful for anyone with chronic pain, injury or range-of-motion issues. Our massage therapists have had years of massage experience and have worked with professional athletes such as professional football, professional boxing, professional golf and rugby players. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

Our massage therapist can generally concentrate on a specific problem area. (Sore neck and shoulders, back) or can provide a full body treatment for prevention and loosing up the muscular system.

Massage, applied skillfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the muscular-skeletal system. Received regularly this may help prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse and repetitive strain disorders.
